Random Thoughts

I went to the dump today (thanks for the truck, Denise) and luckily nothing went flying out of the back of the truck on the way. As I approached the dump I saw this sign, which made me laugh.

Nate may be stalking the birds in his backyard, but I am stalking one of the fish in my aquarium. Large Marge is the big striped fish at the bottom of the tank toward the left.

Several times each day as I walk past the door to the guest room I glance in and find Large Marge lying flat on her back inside the jaguar skull pictured below. Apparantly the fish knows that it's behavior is "fishy" and feels sheepish about being caught because the minute I set foot in the room it darts out of the skull and hides in the tree. Yesterday Marge was lying on her back in the skull and one of my little algae eaters was lying next to her. The algae eater was not at all concerned about my approach and did not dart away.

And yes, the glass is covered with algae that I can't scrape off, and my algae eaters are too lazy to do their job.

My first thought...you know you are obsessed with blogging when you carry a camera to the dump! I want you to admit that you went out looking for some action!

One word, INTERVENTION!!!!!!

P.S. Don't let Jo anywhere near your tank, I don't want her taking that fish to feed the serial killer.

Jen, I have to applaud you. Seriously. You took a camera to the dump, and you have been imaginative enough to blog the fish. I am impressed.

I am feeling sheepish, but will not say anything out loud for fear that something bad will happen and I will have to blog it.

Marge is a freak of nature. I have witnessed the weird behavior. I think she is possessed.

She is a skittish little fella! I am glad you were able to get to the dump without incident.

The problem with me is the one thing that I didn't have to take a class in during my 6 years of college is CREATIVITY!!! I vaguely remember someone saying that, you can't teach that!!

I went golfing today and I thought about blogging that...but my audience is 95% female, and I don't know one of them that golf’s...so I guess I will have to think of another idea. I have to play to my base...and right now that’s white women...JEFF and Rick we are the minority here...we probably have a few others but so far they haven't commented (HINT HINT)!

That's what a camera phone is for. I actually drove past that sign, pulled over, and ran back to it in order to get the picture. I was feeling a little sheepish myself, but I don't think anyone noticed me.

Jen, that makes it even better!

Well done. I did not know your phone had a camera

First of all I applaud you for getting back on the horse and going to the dump for another shot! Second, I don't know what the sign means....but I am now concerned. Do not Jo know she will try to feed it to the killer or she may just try to clean your tank!

Jo is welcome to clean my tank any time she wants to. In fact, you are all welcome to clean my tank at any time.

Jen I haven't heard much discussion on here about the dump. As you may or may not know there are many different styles of dumps. Some are transfer style where the release is placed in a building(boring) and some are open pit type. I've alwasys prefered open pit type. They bring back some great childhood memories of scrounging through the good stuff.
